I am Retiring - but not just yet.

Hi Everyone

After 35 years as a Barber, 26 years with my own shop, I have decided to retire.

I was born and brought up on Sharrow Vale. I went to school at Hunters Bar and still live within a short walk of the shop. I have loved my time here. It's a great road to be on and I've made some great friends.

I'm leaving my terraced house and eventually moving to a bungalow in 1/3 acre in rural Worcestershire. It's a big step.

The Barber Shop Business is For Sale.

Don't Panic !! I will  be around for a good while as we look for someone to take the business forward. As soon as there are any updates I will let everyone know.

I would expect the new Barber to continue as a 'Traditional Barber Shop'. It has worked well for 26 years.

We operate an appointment system that allows you to get your haircut at a time to suit yourself.

The system we have allows our customers to feel safe and avoid the queuing and waiting that has been a feature of a visit to the barbers for 100 years.

Just turn up a few minutes before your appointed time.

We are still able to accept a very few walk in customers where we have an empty shop and a free time slot.

Race Season finished.

Hi Everyone

The 2025 Race Season has now come to an end.

I finished second in the Formula Ford class, 19th overall in the British Hill Climb Championship & was the highest placed lady driver.

Luckily no accidents this year so not much to do to the car over winter.

The car, which I co-own is a 1985 Van Diemen RF85 Formula Ford.

Cancellation Watch. Get yourself on the subs bench.

How does it work?

We have a new button in the booking system for CANCELLATION WATCH.

If we are fully booked, for example in the run up to Christmas. This allows a customer to let us know that they would be interested in any cancellations that should come along.

When we get a cancellation the customer receives a text message & if they wish, can book in for the vacant slot.

We do get cancellations when people can't get in due to hospital appointments, job interviews & the like.

This system allows us to fill any vacant spaces & help out a customer who is looking to get an appointment.

About the shop

A traditional Barber Shop that has been established 26 years. Specialising in male grooming. Sorry no beard trims.

The shop was totally refurbished during lockdown and a new ventilation system was introduced that constantly changes the air within the shop.

The thorough cleaning regime introduced during covid remains in place.

We are determined to give you a haircut in the safest possible conditions.

Booking online is the best way to go.

As I am a one man band I cannot always answer the phone but I will always return your call at the earliest opportunity.

Cuts for Boys (2 options)

We have 2 options for 'Boys Haircuts'.

Option One. Boys Trim 5 years to 16 years is self explanatory. Book online.    £15 in the week. £17 on Saturdays.

Boys under 5 years old. Not available to book online.                Please ring me on 07783 629062. (see notes below)

For me to make a decent job the child needs to be able to sit and support itself in the chair. I will always try my best but with some children who find it a difficult experience I sometimes struggle to get a finished cut I am totally happy with. Give me a call for a chat and we will decide the best way to proceed. Not available on Saturdays. Price on application.

If you are just flicking through the website the prices are shown here.

If you are over 65 you get a real bargain if you book an appointment on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday before 12noon when the cost is only £11.00.

Please note some cuts are less expensive in the week.

SATURDAY. All cuts are £17 except Long hair resyle £20 & skin fades which are £19.
